What are we learning this half-term?
In english and maths we will be working hard to catch-up on lots of key skills that will help us succeed in Year 1. We know lots of you worked hard during lockdown if you couldn't come to school, but we think this little boost will be really helpful.
In science, we will begin by looking at different materials and their properties.
In history, we will be investigating The Great Fire of London. We will learn about Samuel Pepys and how he recorded the events from the time in his diary. We will learn about how the fire started, why it spread so quickly and how it was finally put out.
In PE we'll begin by doing some athletics work. We will be outside when we can for PE so please make sure you wear jogging bottoms with your T shirt and sweat shirt to keep you warm.
In RE we will exploring the wonders of nature.
We will also have to make art and design pieces to make our classroom look exciting and colourful.
