Over the next 2 weeks we will be continuing to explore The Seeds of Friendship in our guided reading sessions. However, we have a new class text to dive into in our English lessons.

The Hunter

This is a beautiful, thought-provoking book set in Africa. Seen through the eyes of a small girl, it addresses the issues of hunting and the impact it has on a small elephant.

Maths

Over the next few weeks we will be consolidating our calculation skills and applying these in practical problem solving scenarios.

We will have 3 Maths learning opportunities each day. A basic skills session, a fluency session and our main Maths lesson where we will dig deeper into concepts and apply our skills.

We have investigated the geographical features of this fabulous continent, studied their wonderful wildlife and now, we will delve deeper into exploring the colourful culture of it's people.
