I can't wait to be able to share our English text, The Explorer by Katherine Rundell with you at last, face to face!
Fred, Con, Max and Lila have already begun to learn the skills of survival after their plane crashed in the Amazon jungle, but will their attempt build a raft to get help work?
We will remind ourselves of what has happened in the story so far before we become authors to retell the chapter, The Maiden Voyage.
In Maths, we will be revisiting some of the work covered in our fractions unit and making sure that we all feel confident and happy with applying our skills in our work.
We will continue to work on our times tables knowledge and other basic skills.
Times Tables Rock Stars and Hit the Button are excellent websites that you may be able to access at home for extra practice.
We will continue our Exploring Europe topic until the Easter holidays.
Our focus when we return will be on map skills. This will include work on grid references, and identifying map symbols. We will also explore the 8 points of a compass. This will provide the perfect opportunity for some outdoor learning.
We will also revisit some aspects of the work we have covered during Lockdown.
