This half term we will be carrying out an in depth look at some of the fabulous poetry by Edgar Allan Poe.
Firstly we will looking at the poem 'The Bells' and studying the onomatopoeia within it, before practising and reciting aloud. We will then take a detailed look at one of his most famous works 'The Raven'.
In maths, we will be continuing to work on our basic skills as well as developing our understanding of statistics. We will be focusing on the use and interpretation of pie charts.
This half term we will also be consolidating a lot of the work we have been doing in Year 6.
We will be finding out about the human and physical features of our local area.. We will learn about the UK's economic activity, land use, settlements, climate, upland areas and England's longest rivers.
