Knowledge Organisers

English
English
In English our main text will be The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch by David and Rhonda Armitage. You can listen to the story here.
We will be using this story as we focus on using capital letters, full stops, question marks and exclamation marks.
We will also be developing our ability to leave finger spaces, use our phonetic knowledge and form a neat handwriting style, as well as making our sentences more interesting by using adventurous vocabulary. This story will allow us to practise describing characters and places, using adjectives and connectives to add interest to our sentences.

Maths
In maths we will be exploring place value to 100, looking at tens and ones. We will also be studying addition and subtraction.
We will be learning about multiplication and division and 1/2 and 1/4. We will be using different measures of mass ansd capacity and telling the time to o'clock and half past times. Cross curricular work will mean that we are also looking at data handling, ordering events and using vocabulary related to time, such as days of the week and positional vocabulary.

Science
